ABOUT

I began my journey about 25 plus years ago with yoga to help calm and relax me.  I decide to give yoga a shot.  I will admit at first I was sure that this was not going to work.  My mind moved at about a hundred miles an hour and it almost stressed me out more when I was at yoga thinking about all the more important things I could be doing with my time, but I stayed with it and within a very short amount of time I was looking forward to my yoga time.  I added Pilates to my practice a few years later because I was having lower back pain.  I was told to try it to strengthen my core it may help.  I haven't had back pain in years.  Then in 2003 I was introduced to Reiki.  Reiki is amazing energy work or hand on healing.  I started training to provide Reiki to others and over time became a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master and a Karuna Reiki Master.  Then in 2007 I was offered the opportunity to teach Yoga.  I honestly had never thought about it , but said I'd give it a try.  After my first class I was hooked.  I went to training to get my RYT 200 certification (Registered Yoga Teacher).  Soon after I had training in Pilates also.  I taught at our local Y for about 8 years, and worked for a studio close to 2 years.   During my time at this studio I learned about Thai Massage- also known as lazy mans yoga or assisted stretching.  I again was offered the opportunity to train and give Thai Massage.  It was a wonderful addition to my life.  It also has given me much more understanding of the body and how it works.  I also began doing Personal Training to give that one on one attention.  This gave me the opportunity to really work with individual needs. Which has been very rewarding.  Then in November of 2016 I ventured out on my own to start Breathe Relax and Renew. I have since finished my RYT 500 certification and 100hr WarrriorKids Certificate ( Kids trauma informed yoga program) along with a few other certificates.  It has been a wonderful journey so far. I hope to learn and grow even more as the years go on.
